Topfield TF4000T Plug in
On the back of the TF 4000T you will see 4 antenna sockets, this can be rather confusing - so here's how to plug it in. First, the antenna on your roof is connected to the top left socket (labelled Antenna). That's all you really need for a basic set up, assuming you have the RCA or SCART leads plugged in.
However, most people will want to connect their VCR's and TV's as well so you can still watch and record analogue TV.
This is accomplished by connecting the bottom left socket, labelled RF LOOP OUT, to the bottom right socket, labelled RF LOOP IN. You can use this cable here to do this.
Next, you need to plug in your VCR and TV - this is done by going from the RF OUT socket on the set top box to RF in on your VCR/TV.
You can also use RCA leads to plug in your VCR to get a high quality recording of digital TV.
Next you will want to plug in the scart cable supplied. There are two leads that come with this unit, one is a scart to component - with left and right audio and the other is a scart to composite and S-VHS with audio click on either to see a picture of these leads.
If you have a television with component inputs, then you can use the component lead.
If you have a television with composite or S-VHS inputs then you can use the composite lead.
Please note that initially when you plug your television in using these leads you may not get a color picture. This is not a unit fault, you have to choose the right output setting in the menu.
To choose the right output setting, press the menu button, select 'System Setting' and select A/V Output Setting. Then choose between RGB, CVBS, S-VHS, YUV.
Please choose from the menu on the right for more information about these boxes.
