Using the USB Feature of your Legend Set Top Box
LEGEND PVR Digital Tuner boxes have USB ports for adding data files (Pictures, Movies, MP3 Music files, etc) to the internal hard disk.
This article will guide you through the setup required to transfer files onto your PVR.
Firstly you will need to visit www.legenddigital.com and head to the downloads section. Get the "USB Download & Software Drivers" file (save it to disk).
Once downloaded extract the ZIP file to a folder on your desktop (eg \PVRUSB\), open the folder and run the SETUP.EXE file. This will go through and install the software for adding files to the PVR.
Once installed, turn on your PVR device and attach it to the computer using the supplied USB cable. At this point the computer will detect a new device and ask you for the drivers for it.
Choose to "Select a Driver from a Specific Location" and direct the browser to the \PVRUSB\DRIVERS folder (or whichever directory you extracted the setup to) and select the folder that matches your operating system (Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP supported).
The driver will now install and should detect the new device.
Once this has completed, the \PVRUSB folder can be safely deleted (retain the original ZIP file in case of future need to re-install) and you can start the download software from your START MENU: PROGRAMS.
To use the program simply ensure your PVR is attached and switched on, select the files on your computer you wish to transfer from the download program and press the DOWNLOAD button. You will see a progress indicator that will show how long until the transfer is complete. Provided the file type is supported you will now be able to view it using your PVR.
